ISB MODEL 1060 PLOUGH SHARE MIXER
Product Description/Purpose
The ISB 1060 plough share mixer can be supplied fitted with ploughs or paddles for the mixing of most products, but if extra dispersion is needed high speed cutters are fit-ted. The mixer can be built from 10L to 3000L capacity and made from either mild or stainless steel. All plough share mixers are supplied with variable speed drives. Materials are fed in either through a loading hopper or delivered by some type of conveyor, depending on the type of product a bomb door can be used or slide valve. plough share mixers are fitted with quick entry doors for easy cleaning of the mixing chamber.
Operation
The mixing is carried out by a series of ploughs or paddles mounted on a horizontal drive shaft, the mix is moved from the ends of the mixing chamber and pushed to-wards the outlet this gives a folding and churning action. If more intense mixing or dispersion is required high speed cutters are installed. Mixing times are kept to a minimum with this type of mixer.
Maintenance
There is a minimum of maintenance required to this type of mixer as there is only one packed gland at the drive end and the high speed cutters use lip seals. There is an air gap between all the seals and the bearings. All bearings and seals are lubricated from a series of grease points situated at the front of the machine for easy access.
